Job Description
Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an experienced Principal Industrial Engineer / Discrete Event Simulation Expert to join our team in King of Prussia, PA!
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop and apply discrete event simulations and advanced data analytics to the optimization of production processes and flow for the Space Enterprise.
Apply simulations and advanced predictive algorithms to the forecasting of component, final assembly and end item deliveries for multiple programs.
Help inform factory set-up layouts, capital equipment needs, and flow optimizations for new and existing programs.
Lead training and development classes on the applications of simulations and advanced analytics on variety of production operations applications.
Model application of various lean principals/techniques on the manufacturing system to support return on investment decision making for improvements.
In partnership with leadership, help develop Industrial Engineering team strategy and vision.
Basic Qualifications
Experience with discrete event simulation of production processes using Simio software
Industrial Engineering experience
Must be able to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance
Desired skills
Deep understanding of Manufacturing Information Systems and the data structures they employ SAP, Apriso, Simio or other simulation software
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation), particularly with Production Operations and Program Offices
Informal leadership experience
Active Top Secret security clearance
20+ years of experience in Industrial Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering in a manufacturing environment
Experience with standing up new production manufacturing lines / factories
Project management experience
Experience developing, monitoring and/or reporting metrics related to cost and schedule performance specific to standard cost
Experience developing forecasts and/or Production Schedules and/or Resource Load Staffing Plans

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $131,500 - $231,840. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.
