You are:
A skilled Data Engineer with expertise in utilizing Microsoft Power BI and QlikView to help create interactive interfaces that enable individuals to understand, interpret, and communicate complex data and insights.

This role will require 3 days per week at the local Mississauga office or a client site located in the Greater Toronto Area. Preferred hiring locations for this role are Toronto and Mississauga.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop intuitive, high-impact dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
- Translate business requirements into effective visual storytelling, ensuring insights are clear, actionable, and user-focused.
- Build data models and prepare datasets to support visual analytics, including data cleaning, transformations, and performance optimization.
- Advise stakeholders on visualization best practices, UI/UX standards, and selection of appropriate chart types and layouts.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment of metrics across reporting solutions.
- Provide training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to end users to support adoption and self-service analytics.
What you need:
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or in a Data Visualization role with Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and QlikView
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience SQL and data modeling skills for preparing, transforming, and structuring data to support analytical reporting.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with advanced analytics or statistical techniques to enhance insights (e.g., forecasting, clustering, trend analysis).
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform) and connecting BI tools to modern data lakehouse environments.
- Ability to automate reporting workflows using Python, R, or scripting tools to support scalable self-service analytics.
- Ability to translate business needs into effective visual designs using UX/UI best practices and data storytelling principles.
