Role Description:
As a ServiceNow Technical Lead (Integrations), you will play a pivotal role in shaping and governing the integration landscape within the ServiceNow platform. Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical governance and guidance to scrum teams, ensuring seamless and efficient integration solutions for various applications. You will collaborate closely with Strategic Committee leaders, led by the Lead Technical Architect, to develop governance documents, procedures, and best practices specifically tailored to ServiceNow integrations. Additionally, you will assist functional leads in gathering initial requirements for new integration efforts, scope projects, and provide tactical solutions for new demands. This role requires you to lead by example, offering mentorship and training to lead developers and developers on integration techniques, while also ensuring adherence to defined methodologies and procedures.
To excel in this role, you should have a strong command of integration technologies and frameworks, including REST, SOAP, LDAP, JDBC, and authentication methods such as Basic, OAuth, SAML, and Multi-Factor Authentication. Proficiency in ServiceNow-specific tools like Scripted REST APIs, import sets, transform maps, and the robust transform engine is essential. You will also work with integration architectures such as point-to-point and event-based architectures, leveraging tools like ServiceNow ecc_queue and mid servers for troubleshooting and execution. Familiarity with data frameworks like JSON/XML, middleware platforms such as Mulesoft or Kafka, and encryption and certificate management will be critical to your success. Additionally, you will utilize ServiceNow’s workflow and flow designer to streamline integration processes and ensure optimal performance.
Your ability to lead and govern teams will be just as important as your technical expertise. You will need to be comfortable working with clients, leading developers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to recommend and implement new best practices. Experience in creating governance models and procedures, particularly around ServiceNow integrations, will be highly beneficial. This role demands a proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to navigate complex integration challenges. By combining your technical acumen with your leadership capabilities, you will ensure that integration efforts align with organizational goals and deliver value across the enterprise.
