Application Programmer

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Chicago, IL. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing front-line support to end users, responding to issues related to incidents and problem management governance for multiple applications, and leading triage activities on all business impacting incidents
• Key responsibilities include maintaining production stability, ensuring compliance with incident management and problem management policies and procedures, serving as a focal point for the customer, client, and associate experience, restoring complex production incidents under tight Service Level Agreements, and pursuing root cause and problem resolution follow ups

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in production support role
• Experience in Java / J2EE Frameworks (web services), MQ, JBoss and/or WebLogic development or support
• Experience in Database - Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, TOAD
• Hands on experience SQL and PL/SQL with Database, preferably Oracle
• Able to build medium to complex SQL queries
• Experience in OS - Windows, Linux operating systems and Unix Commands
• Experience in Job scheduling tools - Autosys
• Familiar with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk
• Self-driven problem solver with willingness to learn and take ownership of tasks assigned to completion
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work with team members support partners located in multiple geographical locations
• Knowledge in ITSM
• Prior banking / finance experience and working with globally distributed teams and clients
• Understanding of Load Balancing concepts
• Experience in Disaster Recovery exercises

Desired skills:

• Exposure to Cloud Container processing, MuleSoft or Informatica
• Shell scripting\Batch scripting

Pay range: $48.85 - $56.85
