Job Details

Job :Security Architect Consultant (IAM)

Location:Remote

  • Work as a Security Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer within the Division of Information Security

  • Assist with implementation, integration, and operationalization of security technologies

  • Develop automation integrations among multiple security tools

  • Support security architecture and solution design for new systems and enhancements

  • Ensure secure design, planning, and implementation of enterprise systems

  • Duration: 12 months with possible extension

Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions

  • Ensure proper configuration of Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Active Directory, and application access

  • Develop and implement automation across security and enterprise IT tools

  • Plan, design, develop, and implement enterprise security solutions aligned with business goals and risk tolerance

  • Design, deploy, and manage security countermeasures for known threats

  • Develop mitigation strategies for new and emerging security threats

  • Protect enterprise data, networks, applications, and infrastructure

  • Ensure consistent application of security controls across the organization

  • Validate and measure effectiveness of security protections

  • Take appropriate action to safeguard state data and technology services

Required Skills (in order of importance)

  • 5+ years of experience in automation development using Python and Bash

  • 5+ years of expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM)

  • Strong understanding of access control, logging, and reporting systems

  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity principles and practices

  • 5+ years of experience with Linux, Windows, and network security protocols

  • Experience supporting large enterprise IT environments or system deployments

Preferred Skills

  • SIEM analysis and reporting

  • Knowledge of security frameworks: NIST, CSF, CJIS, IRS 1075, CMS MARS-E

  • Application Security (AppSec) experience

Required Education

  • Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Information Security, or related field

  • OR 8 years of relevant work experience in lieu of education

Preferred Certifications

  • CISSP, CISA, CISO, or equivalent advanced security certification

  • Additional certifications such as CEH, OSCP, GPEN

  • Vendor certifications in SIEM or logging technologies

Interview Process

  • Microsoft Teams (Video camera required)
