Job Title: Oracle Access Management (OAM) Architect
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 30 Months (with opportunity for extension)
Employment Type: W2 Contract
Hours: 9:00 AM 6:00 PM EST (1-hour lunch break)
Client: CUNY (City University of New York) Workday HR & Finance Deployment

Project Overview:
This role supports the deployment of Workday HR and Finance modules across CUNY campuses. As an Oracle Access Management Architect, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, implementing, and securing IAM solutions ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant integrations between CUNY s applications (e.g., Workday, PeopleSoft) and Oracle IAM tools.
You ll lead SSO, Federation, and MFA implementations while providing deep expertise in Oracle IAM Suite and working in complex enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain OAM-based SSO solutions in High Availability (HA) environments
  • Integrate Workday and other applications with CUNY s IAM infrastructure using SAML, OAuth2, OpenID Connect
  • Configure and manage Oracle Access Manager (OAM) 12c PS4, Oracle HTTP Server, OAA, OARM, Oracle RADIUS, and Federation tools
  • Install and configure Oracle Unified Directory (OUD) components, including directory server, proxy server, and virtual attribute extensions
  • Create and customize login flows, MFA plugins, SAML profiles, and authentication mechanisms
  • Automate tasks using Java, Shell, PowerShell, JavaScript, including SSL configuration and API integrations across Oracle IAM components
  • Deploy and manage Oracle IAM microservices using containers and Kubernetes
  • Configure Active Directory integrations, migrating legacy LDAP systems to modern IAM architecture
  • Generate custom audit reports using Oracle BI Publisher for systems like Workday and PeopleSoft
  • Lead troubleshooting of product and infrastructure-level issues involving load balancers, firewalls, app servers, OS, and integrations
  • Provide technical documentation and conduct knowledge transfer to internal CUNY IT staff

Required Qualifications:
  • 15+ years in IT with 7+ years hands-on experience in Oracle Access Management Suite
  • Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with:
    • Oracle Access Manager 12c PS4
    • Oracle HTTP Server, OAA, OARM, and Oracle RADIUS Agent
    • Identity Life Cycle Management and Single Sign-On (SSO)
    • Directory Services: OUD configuration, schema extension, virtual attributes
    • Oracle IAM API usage, federation libraries (e.g., Shibboleth, SimpleSAMLPHP, Okta, Ping)
    • WebLogic Server: application deployment, LDAP, SAML Asserters, role-based access
    • Scripting: Shell, Java, JavaScript, PowerShell
    • Container platforms & Kubernetes for Oracle IAM microservices
  • Strong experience integrating IAM with PeopleSoft, Workday, Active Directory
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills across OS, networking, middleware, and IAM stack
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven client-facing experience
