Estimator

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Estimator / Construction PM with a strong background in the construction industry to join our Miami-based team. The ideal candidate will bring 10-15 years of experience, a solid understanding of estimating and general contracting, and the ability to work independently while partnering closely with leadership on strategic initiatives. This team is responsible for constructing full resorts/ports from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee and manage estimating activities for various construction projects.
* Evaluate bids from general contractors and subcontractors.
* Analyze project costs and prepare detailed cost estimates
* Support construction and build-out efforts, including BOH (back-of-house) systems.
* Partner with cross-functional teams to align on project objectives and timelines.
* Manage ongoing projects as an individual contributor with minimal supervision.
* Occasionally travel to project sites as needed (approximately 25%).

Must Haves

• 10-15 years of experience in the construction industry
  • Consider the size of the projects they were working on
  • Estimator and construction PM experience
• Great communication
  • They must be able to communicate with the GCs, understand what is needed, and be able to ask questions to understand how the budget was made (ie. How did they make up the costs? What assumptions are they making?)
• Experience reading and understanding bids
  • Knowledgeable on general contracting
  • Understand bids at a technical level (get into the nitty gritty)
  • Understand scope caps
• Negotiation experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field.
• Construction management experience
