Job Title: Guidewire Integration Developer
Location: Cincinnati Ohio
Type: Contract To Hire
Contractor Work Model: Remote
ALTA is supporting a 12-month CONTRACT-TO-HIRE opportunity working 100% REMOTE. .
All interviews will be held virtually through MS Teams. Contractors may onboard and work remotely. Out-of-state candidates will be accepted.
Job Role: Guidewire Integration developer
Contract terms: 12 Months Contract-to-Hire
The IT department is currently seeking a developer to analyze, design, code, test and deploy software programs and applications. This includes researching, designing, documenting, and modifying software specifications throughout the production lifecycle. The software developer will also analyze and amend software errors.

- Understand and apply industry practices, architectural standards and department policies and procedures relating to work assignments
- Proactively suggest improvement to systems and procedures
- Develop integration solutions with 3rd party vendors
- Design and drive enterprise projects using Guidewire ClaimCenter
- Draw on your knowledge of the systems development life cycle (SDLC) for application development, support, and maintenance
- Work in teams to support program development or future enhancements
- Ensure that solutions meet client needs
- Develop, test, and deploy code into the appropriate environment
- Prepare technical documentation for code and design changes, and debug, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user applications
- Participate in business solution workshops and share your configuration expertise
- Write and consume web services
Be equipped with:
- Guidewire ClaimCenter Associate certification or higher
- Experience with Guidewire Cloud
- Ensure adherence to Guidewire coding standards, best practices, and design patterns
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Guidewire development experience
- Ability to design and develop Guidewire ClaimCenter integrations with external systems, cloud services, and data platforms using GWCP and other integration tools.
- Ability to create new data model elements and extending the existing applications data model with new properties
- Ability to design and develop Guidewire ClaimCenter configurations
- Ability to configure, build, and develop Guidewire components using GOSU, PCF, Data Model
- Ability to implement business rules, workflows, UI components, and data modelsAbility to create new data model elements and extending the existing applications data model with new properties
- Skilled in aspects of Guidewire implementation, from design and configuration to customization and support after the solution goes live
- Experience with Guidewire APIs and Product Models
- Knowledge and demonstrated ability with GOSU programming
- Knowledge of secure software development
- Ability to work with data transformation tools (XML, JSON), create schemas, and parse with XPATH and XSLT
- Comfortable using source code repositories such as GitHub
- Familiar with databases, such as DB2/Oracle, or SQL Server
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Knowledge of file handling and manipulation tools and techniques
- Knowledge of insurance and claims
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to provide application support
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and teamwork skills with the proven ability to multi-task
Nice-to-have skills:
- Experience at Agile/Scrum project implementation
- Experience with Spring and other standard frameworks
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Angular
