Job Details

Leidos is seeking a Test Engineer for a 200+ FTE technical development program supporting the Sponsor's Entitlement Programs as well as IdAM /ICAM, Authentication, Authorization, Attributes and Digital Policy Management. The Test Engineer will support the test of access control systems for a government customer. The successful candidate will support continuity of our customer's mission by helping ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of IT systems.

The Test Engineer creates, builds, develops, defines, documents, analyzes, performs, maintains, and interprets tests for processes, functions, system integration, and user acceptance testing including test units, processes, and functions. Conducts system integration tests and user acceptance testing, creates automated and manual test scripts, and coordinates with the development team to perform tests. Documents the successes and failures of all executed test procedures. Investigates and resolves operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel. Provides technical support and advice to other engineering groups. Participates in the development, maintenance, and refinement of quality control and reliability programs.

Primary Responsibilities

List daily duties and/or specific job responsibilities:

Work with design engineers, production personnel, customers, and other stakeholders to identify and develop verification methods for system, subsystem, and component level requirements

Oversee and perform test reporting * Interact directly with customers, teammates, and functional peer groups

Evaluate, plan, manage, and track project test efforts and procedures

Oversee and perform testing in a DevOps environment

Support testing for deployments and release management cycles

Work with automated testing techniques like Selenium (create, edit, maintain, execute)

Work with Junit and Java

Work within the parameters of Agile & Scrum methodologies

Document, edit and maintain best practices, procedures, reporting, and bug tracking using JIRA, GitHub, and Confluence

Work within a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) DevOps framework

Required Qualifications:

Active TS/SCI with Polygraph

BS degree and 12+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10-13 years of prior relevant experience, will consider additional years of experience in lieu of degree

Understanding and experience in the complete life-cycle of software systems and development

Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail

Knowledgeable foundation in Java and Selenium

Strong, effective, and professional communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated experience working within matrixed teams

Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work without close supervision in a high Tempo DevOps environment

Ability to take initiative in troubleshooting; creative in determining approach or action to take in non-routine situations

Ability to engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and ensure quality assurance

Ability to create, develop, and execute detailed test plans and test cases

Desired Qualifications:

BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Sciences or an Advanced Degree

Understanding and Knowledge of Accessibility and Accessibility Testing

Experience with test automation methodologies like Selenium

Experience creating and conducting unit testing of software modifications

Experience with SecDevOps

Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Experience with rest API testing

Experience Building, creating, developing, and maintaining test automation scripts
