SAP Business Analyst Revenue and Billing

Santa Clara, CA Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Requirements:

  • 8+ years in SAP RAR Finance, configuration, and production support.

  • Deep knowledge of RAR, FI, SD, and BRF+.

  • Strong S/4HANA RAR implementation and migration experience.

  • Working understanding of security roles in FICO/RAR environments.

  • Strong business process acumen-can map requirements with minimal customization.

  • Hands-on experience in contract lifecycle management and revenue recognition lifecycle.

  • Effective at building cross-functional relationships, mediating conflicts, and influencing stakeholders.


Responsibilities:

  • Design and configure Revenue Accounting (RAR) and Billing rules across SAP FI/CO, SD, and integrated modules.

  • Translate complex business needs into functional design documents, aligning with industry best practices and scalability goals.

  • Lead end-to-end solutioning in Quote-to-Cash (QTC) and RAR, focusing on automation, compliance, and performance.

  • Prepare Functional Requirement Specs (FRS) and ensure ABAP compatibility.

  • Review and execute test plans and scripts; lead defect resolution across system-level tests.

  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, ensuring revenue is recognized and posted accurately.

  • Streamline processes, reduce redundancies, and drive internal user adoption.

  • Conduct audits to ensure data quality & compliance with accounting standards (ASC 606/IFRS 15).

  • Provide user training and ongoing support to optimize system usage and drive self-service.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams: Finance, SalesOps, IT, and Compliance.

  • Integrate SAP with platforms like Salesforce, Tax Engines, and other non-SAP apps (via APIs and EDI).

  • Champion cloud-first strategies and B2B API integrations.

  • Establish configuration and testing best practices.

  • Maintain detailed documentation for system configs, process flows, and functional specs.
