Overview of position:

FEDITC is seeking a Journeyman PC Technician to work at Hurlburt Field, FL. A United States Citizenship and an active TS DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position.

Under the direction of the Sr. PC Technician, the PC Technician must have excellent problem-solving and customer service skills, as well as extensive experience with desktop hardware, software applications, operating systems, and network connectivity. This position must be customer service-oriented and proactive in anticipating and resolving problems while maximizing efficient use of computing resources. The PC Technician may be required to provision and maintain mobile devices (NIPR, SIPR and Gray). PC Technicians shall provide system and network infrastructure services to operate, maintain, monitor, defend, and manage hardware and software. Also be able to work with hardware and software vendors to verify timely product delivery and ensure that new equipment is installed and ready to operate on schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting and proactively resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain and administer hardware, software, firmware, and OS.
  • Monitoring server applications and services using authorized monitoring software to facilitate proactive response to hardware failure.
  • Maintain hardware and software systems and tools used to monitor, maintain, tune, and report on storage environment health and status.
  • Operate, maintain, integrate, and administer database hardware.
  • Performing Risk Management RM activities related to preparing new or reconfigured software and hardware for release.

 

Experience/Skills:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience working as a PC.

Education:

  • Associate degree or relevant experience will be considered.

Clearance:

  • Active TS clearance is required.
  • Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
