Certs: PMP

Requiring 4+ years of CA State experience (City and County s Departments will not qualify)

DOJ experience is a plus

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee complex IT initiatives for State of California agencies. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in public sector projects, particularly within California state departments, and demonstrate strong leadership in managing Salesforce-based solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all phases of the project lifecycle for IT implementations within California state agencies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with State of California standards and policies.
• Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, risk mitigation strategies, and communication plans.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies and adhere to Scrum methodology where appropriate.
• Serve as the liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on goals.
• Provide regular status reports and presentations to executive stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of overall Project Management experience.
• 5+ years as a Project Manager on State of California IT projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading Salesforce implementation or integration projects.
• Public sector experience is required; candidates without this experience will not be considered.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies including Agile and Waterfall.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

• PMP (Project Management Professional)
• CSM (Certified ScrumMaster)
