Senior Systems Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer. This role is hybrid in Ewing Township, NJ. This role is contract to hire. The candidate will start off as an hourly contractor and convert perm after a 6-month initial contract term. The FTE conversion could take up to a year.

Overview:
We are seeking a well-rounded Systems Engineer to join our Server Administration and Engineering teams in a contract-to-hire capacity. This individual will play a critical role in managing and engineering solutions across our Windows, Azure, and AWS environments, while also supporting VMware and Citrix platforms. The ideal candidate is an independent thinker who can add immediate value by designing solutions, solving complex problems, and ensuring stability across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities:
* Administer and engineer solutions for Windows Server, Azure, Azure AD, and Exchange environments
* Support and manage VMware infrastructure, including vCenter, and assist with Citrix environment support
* Perform PowerShell scripting and automation to improve system efficiencies
* Manage systems within AWS EC2 ecosystems
* Provide administration, troubleshooting, and optimization of enterprise server infrastructure
* Collaborate with peers and leadership to design, implement, and support scalable system solutions
* Support the transition of resources and responsibilities due to organizational restructuring (e.g., retirement backfills)

REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience managing workloads in AWS EC2 environments
* Strong expertise with Windows Server, Azure, Azure AD, Exchange, VMware (vCenter), and PowerShell
* Ability to work independently, troubleshoot complex issues, and design effective solutions
* Ability to work hybrid 3 days a week in the office in Ewing Township, NJ
* Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
* Experience supporting Citrix environments preferred
* Exposure to Linux is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
