AVA Consulting is seeking a Test Environment Lead
Location: Plano, TX

Company Background: Our client, a major employer in the area, is looking for a Test Environment Lead to be part of its team in its North American operations.
Job Description:
- The Test Environment Lead is responsible for overseeing the management and optimization of test environments to ensure smooth and efficient testing operations. This role involves coordinating with various teams to maintain stable and reliable test environments, implementing best practices for environment management, and continuously improving processes to support high-quality software testing.
Responsibilities:
- Their primary responsibility is to ensure that the test environments align with testing requirements, remain available, and remain stable for use by the testing team.
- Accountable for identifying and resolving issues with test environments, coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery of environments, and managing test data effectively.
- Plays a critical role in ensuring the quality of software products by facilitating effective testing activities.
- The Test Environment Lead is the primary contact for managing and optimizing test environments, ensuring seamless and efficient testing processes.
- Work with Test Data Management and Domain Quality Lead(s) to create a plan and timeline to integrate or update test environments.
- Committed to ensuring that the environment is of high quality and supports accurate and reliable testing.
Requirements:
Required Skills:
- 10+ years of relevant / progressive work experience (in similar field and/or industry)
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
- In-depth knowledge of quality engineering methodologies, practices, and tools, including test automation frameworks.
- Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies, and the ability to align quality engineering practices with these approaches.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Deep expertise in product management and software development lifecycle
- A broad understanding of software and data testing techniques and best practices
- Experience working in IT delivery or business management
- Advanced experience and understanding of AWS
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced degree
- Scrum master certification or PMP
- Experience working in a financial and banking industries
