System One is recruiting for a Electrical Commissioning Specialist for Simple Cycle project in Fairfield, TX.
Electrical Commissioning Roles & Responsibilities:
- Attend Factory Acceptance Test for Electrical Equipment (MV, LV Switchgears, Transformers, Relay Panels, etc)
- Develop Electrical Initial Energization Procedures (Switchyard, Back-feed, Switchgears, Initial Synch, etc)
- Initial energization, generator sync and 3 rd party testing
- Familiarity with component testing and commissioning aspects of following major electrical equipment & protection scheme will be an added advantage
- 220KV, 345KV Breakers
- Generator Circuit Breakers
- MV & LV Switchgears and MCCs
- CTs, PTs, CVTs and three-line diagrams
- Line Protection Scheme (Transformer & Motor Protection, Breaker Failure, and Bus Differential Scheme)
- Synchronization
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting, functional checkout of control & relaying scheme, DCS/RTU Loop checking
Electrical Commissioning Roles & Requirements: - Must have a minimum of 10 years of related experience in the areas of power plants
- Experience with GE gas turbine is preferred
- Familiar with SCADA, RTU, DCS loop checkout testing and troubleshooting
- Demonstrate thorough proficiency regarding protective relays, electrical control and protection scheme
- NETA, IEEE Testing standards
- Must be able familiar with NFPA 70E and able to demonstrate safe electrical troubleshooting skills
