SAIC is looking for a mid-level to senior-level systems engineer as part of the Airborne Mission Processor (AMP) program at Indianapolis, IN.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The candidate will directly support Government program(s) as a networked systems engineer throughout the entire program lifecycle. The candidate will support all aspects of design to include, but not limited to, design, development, documentation, test and debug of a networked system of systems. The candidate will be expected to perform engineering investigations, integrate hardware/software components, develop automated scripts, perform Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration tasks related to configuring standard network services, and perform Cyber hardening tasks, such as applying DISA STIGs. Candidate is expected to possess excellent communication skills to interface to multi-disciplinary design team.

Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree and two (2) years or more years experience; BSEE or BSCS or related degree preferred
- Extensive working knowledge of and configuration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers
- Extensive knowledge of common networking protocols and services, including but not limited, to NFS, DHCP, TFTP, and SNMP
- Interim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience writing bash and/or other Linux based shell scripting languages
- Experience with cyber hardening duties, such as applying DISA STIGs to RHEL
- Experience with electronic system design and test
- Experience with DoD Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process
