Job Details
Local candidates from Minnesota are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient technical solutions.
- Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and architects to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Provide application support, debugging, and performance optimization for existing systems.
- Contribute to modernization efforts, including the integration of mainframe systems with distributed or cloud platforms.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and follow established SDLC processes.
- Document technical solutions and ensure compliance with organizational coding standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 12+ years of hands-on mainframe development experience.
- Programming & Data Management: COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2.
- Optional but Preferred CICS.
- Experience with development tools such as IBM Developer for z/OS (IDz) and version control systems like GIT.
- Strong communication and analytical skills with the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams.
- Proven experience troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues in production and development environments.
