Job Details
Primary contact for Production Teams or Customer Service Representatives, responsible for scheduling shop orders to the Assembly Shop Order Desk based on established priorities, production goals, and box size batching by work center. Expected to have extensive knowledge of inventory movements within the facility and handling exceptions, substitutions, allocations, and other special shop order problem solving skills.
Perform all tasks as required by the applicable work insturctions.
Review priority reports and eception reports to issue shop orders and organize printed shop orders. Monitor reports for pick PLAN status. CUt or cancel problem orders as they arise.
Ensure bulk product needed for required assembly is available in the right quantities at the right time when releasing production orders.
Determine how many units to release to the shop floor to balaance the order backlog against available capacity.
Maintain component's locator system to insure accurate records of shop order picks. Coordinate picking of finished goods and movement of products to support production orders that utlizie a finished good in the bill of material.
