Manager, IT Disaster Recovery & Incident Response


The Manager of IT Disaster Recovery & Incident Response leads planning, execution, and continuous improvement of IT recovery and crisis response strategies. Partnering with Business Continuity teams, this role ensures the resilience of critical systems in a large retail environment. Success requires technical expertise, leadership in high-stress scenarios, and cross-functional coordination.


Qualifications




  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).




  • 7-10 years in IT project management with disaster recovery experience.




  • 3-5 years leading incident response efforts.




  • Retail or logistics industry experience preferred.




  • Certifications like PMP, CISSP, or ITIL are a plus.




Key Skills




  • Deep knowledge of disaster recovery and incident management frameworks.




  • Strong project management and risk mitigation abilities.




  • Excellent communication and leadership under pressure.




  • Familiar with cloud, virtualization, and recovery technologies.




  • Proficient with tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, and BCP platforms.




Responsibilities




  • Lead IT disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution.




  • Oversee IT response during crises, coordinating across teams.




  • Maintain recovery documentation, RTOs/RPOs, and ensure compliance.




  • Conduct drills, review outcomes, and implement improvements.




  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and operations teams.




  • Report readiness and incidents to leadership.




  • Manage recovery vendors and project timelines.
