Job Details

We are seeking an Enterprise Data Analyst (EDP) SME to serve as the critical link between the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) team and various business units. This role blends technical data expertise with business analysis to help stakeholders understand, access, and leverage enterprise data for strategic outcomes.

The ideal candidate is a data-driven storyteller who can translate business goals into analytical insights, demonstrate the value of enterprise data, and foster collaboration across diverse teams. You will play a pivotal role in building a Data Analysis Community of Practice within EDP and driving data-centric decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of EDP s enterprise data model, data products, ownership structure, and access controls.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) and liaison, providing technical and non-technical stakeholders with guidance on EDP s data portfolio.
  • Gather and analyze business requirements for new EDP projects, mapping data processes to business objectives.
  • Maintain and enhance EDP s data catalog and data discovery tools by:
  • Reviewing and updating knowledge articles and data dictionaries.
  • Creating new content to improve user understanding and engagement.
  • Identifying trends in tool usage and recommending improvements.
  • Assess and monitor data quality across datasets; identify gaps and drive quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business units and development teams to align on data needs and provide analytical support.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements based on analytical findings.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that inform business decisions.
  • Write performant SQL queries and optimize data retrieval for analytics.
  • Use data modeling tools (e.g., ERwin) to visualize and communicate data relationships.
  • Create dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Amazon QuickSight, or similar BI platforms.
  • Support testing, data validation, and UAT; document findings and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Build strong relationships with product owners, practitioners, and executive leadership.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and data analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with an ability to tell stories with data.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across technical and business teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to guide business analysts and facilitate Data/BA Community of Practice sessions.
  • Curiosity, persistence, and a proactive mindset with a bias for action.
