Job Details

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to contribute to the delivery of strategic and moderately complex projects as a member of our IT department. In this role, you will apply your project management expertise and leadership skills to ensure successful project execution within the client organization. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver assigned projects on time and within budget, adhering to defined project processes and industry best practices while strengthening the PMO function.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Effectively direct, manage, and control multiple technology projects to ensure successful completion on time and within budget.
  • Establish and manage governance processes, including Workplan and Schedule Management, Scope Management, Financial & Performance Management, Issue and Risk Management, Status Reporting, Resource and Document Management, Quality Management, and Contract Management.
  • Continuously monitor project progress, risks, and resource requirements; adjust and resolve issues as needed to ensure successful outcomes, escalating risks when necessary.
  • Manage project budgets and financials, ensuring adherence to financial constraints and performance indicators.
  • Execute projects in a hybrid environment (Waterfall and Agile) to ensure efficiency.
  • Learn and advocate for the use of project management tools and processes.
  • Provide consistent, accurate, and compelling project updates to stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across the organization.
  • Drive continuous process improvement within the PMO.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the business, providing support and resolving issues.
  • Deliver strategic presentations to diverse audiences with excellent communication skills.
  • Comply with and contribute to the continuous improvement of company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in fostering a collaborative, team-oriented environment; perform other duties as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manage project resources and project analysts as needed.

Qualifications:

<>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</>
  • 5+ years managing large-scale, enterprise-wide implementations in a project management capacity.
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in technical project management within a PMO environment.
  • Proven experience leading or supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) implementation projects.
  • Proven leadership of cross-functional teams and simultaneous medium-to-large scale projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of independent work.
  • Strong financial skills with knowledge of TCO, ETC, EAC, Burn Rate, etc.
  • Experience in the discrete manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Intellectual curiosity, particularly around emerging enterprise technologies.
  • Experience working with third-party service providers.
  • Willingness to go above and beyond to support project success.
<>Education and Certification:</>
  • Bachelor s degree in a relevant field.
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • PMP or equivalent certification required.
  • Familiarity or certification in MS Office, Azure DevOps, MS Projects preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Ability to travel 25% 50%, including monthly travel to headquarters in Sycamore, IL. The client s business spans multiple global locations including the US, Canada, UK, New Zealand, India, China, and more, across three primary divisions.

Location: Remote (based in the US)

Rate: $90-$100/hour (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week . Contract duration is 12 months with possible extensions.
