Job Title - Project Manager Ewrite (IP-Based Authentication) Replacement Location Piscataway, NJ (Hybrid) Duration 12+ Months
Project Overview: Our client is initiating a project to replace the existing Ewrite system, which currently provides IP-based authentication services for accessing digital content and internal resources. This initiative is part of a broader modernization effort aimed at enhancing access controls, improving system performance, and aligning with updated security standards. We are looking for a seasoned Project Manager to lead this critical transition effort. The ideal candidate will have experience with authentication systems, identity and access management (IAM), IP-based access protocols, and enterprise-level system implementations.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end project management of the Ewrite system replacement from initiation to post-implementation support.
  • Collaborate with IT security, infrastructure, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria.
  • Evaluate and assist in selecting a modern authentication solution that supports or improves upon IP-based access mechanisms.
  • Drive the vendor evaluation, RFP process, and solution recommendation.
  • Oversee system integration, configuration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, track deliverables, and ensure timely execution of milestones.
  • Coordinate data migration, system decommissioning, and implementation of new access control methods.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security policies and governance standards.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring clear communication of project status to stakeholders and executives.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager managing enterprise system replacements or authentication platform transitions.
  • Strong understanding of IP-based authentication, access management, and security integration best practices.
  • Proven experience working with IAM tools or access control systems (e.g., Okta, Ping Identity, Azure AD, or other authentication services).
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, contracts, and multi-phase technical implementations.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Asana).
  • Excellent skills in stakeholder communication, planning, risk management, and cross-functional coordination.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Ewrite or similar IP-based authentication systems.
  • Knowledge of SAML, OAuth, LDAP, or other authentication protocols.
  • Familiarity with digital rights management and user access strategies in publishing, education, or content delivery platforms.
  • PMP, Agile, or Scrum certification is a plus.
