Job Title: Analyst (PALM Project)
Duration: Long term Contract
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Job Summary:
The scope of this project is to provide ongoing support for the Florida PALM Implementation and Integration Effort with Modifications and Enhancements for the Department. In addition to the implementing the new Florida PALM Project, Florida PALM will need to be integrated with internal department processes and applications. The associated processes and applications utilized by the Finance & Accounting and Budget Office within department will need to be fully integrated and automated in alignment with the new Florida PALM Project.
The consultants need to understand how software system supports the business workflows, how to create functional requirement models and create use cases and how data and information is stored and maintained using a variety of data modeling techniques.
The consultants must have senior level experience in developing technical solutions to business problems beginning with analyzing and documenting business requirements.
The consultants must be experienced in working closely with the application development team and other business areas.
The consultants need to know how the business work flows operationally and the ability to communicate the business processes.
Deliverables:
The consultant deliverables and timesheets will be tracked by the Project Management Office.
Consultants will be required to follow IT coding standards.
The consultant needs to be on-site for the project.
The consultant needs to have a thorough understanding of programming techniques and working experience in systems development life cycle processes. The consultant must know how to translate business requirements into coding for the modifications and enhancements..
The consultant must be experienced in analyzing, modifying, and creating new stored procedures.
The consultants need to be skilled in writing stored procedures that are efficient and does not have to make multiple round-trips to the database which can cause performance issues.
The consultants will be responsible for meeting with the users, reviewing, creating and validating the business requirements documentation. Also, the consultants need to know how to analyze existing code (business rules/ business requirements) and determine what it will take to correct the problem.
