A PE-backed leader in supplier intelligence is seeking a Data Engineer to support a major technology modernization initiative. With 170 employees across the U.S., the organization is growing rapidly and making strategic investments in its data infrastructure. The platform drives procurement and supply chain decisions for some of the world's largest enterprises, leveraging more than 11 million supplier profiles, 350+ million data attributes, and $9 trillion in historical spend. Tech stack includes Snowflake, Google Cloud Platform, Python, SQL, Airflow, DBT, PySpark, Docker, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in transforming how enterprise-scale supplier data is processed and delivered. You'll join a forward-thinking engineering team spearheading the migration from legacy systems to Snowflake and architecting scalable, automated data ingestion pipelines on Google Cloud Platform to power the company's accelerating growth. The role is primarily hands-on, with opportunities to influence architectural decisions and mentor junior engineers. Required Skills & Experience
3-5 years of professional data engineering experience
Expertise in Snowflake
Proficiency in Python and SQL
Experience with Airflow and DBT
PySpark knowledge for distributed data processing
Docker and containerization experience
Familiarity with MySQL or PostgreSQL
Cloud experience (Google Cloud Platform preferred; AWS/Azure acceptable)
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently
Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience with SSIS or legacy ETL tools (helpful but not required)
Background in distribution, supply chain, or supplier-related industries
Mentorship experience with junior engineers
Exposure to orchestration strategy design and optimization
Agile team experience with Jira
