As a Database Engineer supporting the OPIR Ground Infrastructure team:
You will integrate into a technical team of System Administrators, DevSecOps engineers, software, cyber, and integration engineers who successfully support program requirements and commitments.
You will be responsible for designing, building, securing and maintaining the database infrastructure to support various product teams database needs.
Support daily Scrum meetings, team demos, and monthly staff calls
Be able to interpret complex system requirements
Work under very general supervision in support of larger team goals
You will be comfortable in an ever-changing dynamic environment and work well in an agile team
Support and participate in working groups and technical exchange meetings
The focus of this role will be on creating a robust and reliable platform, with an emphasis on high availability, security, and scalability, rather than data management or analytics.
The Database Engineer will work closely with the technical team to ensure the database infrastructure is properly secured, configured, and optimized to meet program requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database infrastructure development, security, and maintenance, and will be able to collaborate effectively with the technical team to deliver high-quality solutions.
This is a MID CAREER (level 3) ROLE where candidates typically require 5+ years of professional experience and a BS degree or above.
Selected candidate must have a Secret security clearance prior to start.

Basic Qualifications
Experience in database design and implementation
Basic experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server database platforms
Experience working in a Linux environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Self-driven, ability to work independently and in a team environment
Selected candidate must have a Secret security clearance prior to start and ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
