Network Engineer, Senior
Key Role:

Support tasks that involve engineering development, integration, and interface design analysis, installation, fielding and field analysis, operation, maintenance, and testing of hardware and sof tware. Perform system-level design and configuration of network systems, including determination of hardware, operating system, and other platform specifications, to meet project requirements while maintaining interoperability with existing sponsor networks. Plan large-scale systems projects through vendor comparison and trade and cost studies. Perform a variety of systems engineering tasks and activities that are broad in nature and are concerned with major systems design, integration, and implementation, and troubleshoot unique or complex problems.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience as a Network Engineer
  • 5+ years of experience with Wide Area Networks ( WAN )
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining WAN architecture using Cisco ISR / ASR routers, ensuring high-availability and secure inter-site connectivity
  • Experience managing and administering VMware or vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts and v Center Server, to support virtualized network services and critical infrastructure
  • Experience with layer 3 networking, tunneling, and layer 2 VLAN maintenance, configuring and optimizing networking to support scalable solutions, and implementing and monitoring network and security with tools such as Cisco ISE and Nagios
  • Knowledge of network protocols such as BGP and OSPF
  • Knowledge of RHEL OS or any Linux distro, including identifying management and offline patch management
  • Ability to plan, implement, verify, and troubleshoot enterprise networks
  • TS / SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree


Additional Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting National Cyber missions or the Intelligence Community in either offensive or defensive capacities
  • Master's degree in CS, Information Systems Management, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, EE, ME, Sof tware Engineering, Network Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or Management Information Systems Technology
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional ( CCNP ) - Route and Switch Certification
  • Security+ or any DoD 8570 IAT or IAM II compliant Certification


Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
