Description
The IT Support Engineer plays an integral role in maintaining operations of our IT services and productivity of our end users. The IT Support Engineer will be actively involved in both daily operations as well as project related work. Daily operations will entail coordination and execution of technical support services for users of the company's IT systems including incident and request response and resolution. These activities include responding to user problems for both software and hardware applications, as well as performing installations, modifications and repairs on personal computers, peripheral devices, and software. Other daily activities include tracking hardware and software inventory and providing user training on the use of standard software. Project related work will entail a wide variety of activities including hardware and software migrations, deployment of new services.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Technical Support
Respond and resolve to IT incidents and requests.
Deploy and maintain software and hardware related components necessary to deliver IT services.
2. End User Training
Deliver periodic trainings on user-relevant topics.
3. Software and Hardware Inventory
Maintain an accurate inventory of end user hardware and software.
Ship equipment as necessary.
4. System Administration
Maintenance and utilization of MDM system.
Configuration and maintenance of Active Directory policies and OUs.
Re-image laptops using system image provided by our client
5. Other duties as required or directed by the Manager
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Mandatory:
Must have strong organizational, time management and communication (written and verbal) skills
Must have strong technical trouble shooting and analytical skills.
Must have a minimum of 2 years IT technical support experience.
Must have experience supporting mobile devices (iPad/iPhone)
Demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of people, with an emphasis on understanding and appreciating cultural differences.
Desirable:
Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industries preferred.

This is a Contract position based out of Boston, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $38.00/hr.
