Are you a hands-on Bridge Design Engineer with a passion for structural integrity and practical solutions? We're looking for an experienced professional who can jump right into challenging projects involving railroad and roadway bridges-with a focus on load rating and design.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Perform Bridge Load Ratings for:
- Railroad Bridges with train loadings
- Roadway Bridges with truck loadings
- Railroad Bridges with train loadings
- Lead or support Bridge Design for:
- Railroad and roadway structures using current codes and standards
- Railroad and roadway structures using current codes and standards
- Utilize engineering software to execute complex calculations and modeling
Key Tools & Software:
- AASHTOWare - for load rating of highway bridges
- STAAD Pro - for structural analysis and design
- MERLIN-DASH - for railroad bridge design
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in load rating and designing bridges for railroad and highway applications
- Proficiency in relevant software tools listed above
- Working knowledge of:
- AASHTO code for roadway bridges
- AREMA code for railroad bridges
- AASHTO code for roadway bridges
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
Note: EIT or PE license is a plus, but not required. We value practical, real-world experience that gets results over credentials.
