Job Description
This position is based in **Toronto, Ontario, Canada, **. Hybrid, mainly from home, but will be required to attend meetings in the Toronto office once or twice a month.
Core working hours: 9am-5pm EDT
Education: Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
Qualifications
Minimum 3-5 years professional experience in UX design within software, AI, or manufacturing environments.
Proficiency in Adobe Suite and Figma, and experience using Jira, Confluence, Air table, and PowerPoint.
Strong analytical thinking and skilled in user-centered design.
Effective communication and presentation skills in English.
Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams across time zones.
Experience with Client products, CAD/CAM technologies (AutoCAD, Fusion, Mastercam, SOLIDWORKS, On Shape, Blender, Creo), or designed solutions for complex, multi-faceted experiences like data visualization, 3D modeling, and/or simulation.
Solid communication and storytelling with an ability to explain technical topics to a non-technical audience.
Experience conducting user research, including interviews and usability testing, and effectively applying learnings and insights to improve designs
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's or equivalent work experience in user interface (UI) and interaction design for software and/or SaaS solutions in related fields like architecture, industrial design, or mechanical engineering.
Familiarity with manufacturing and production process as well as scheduling and task management software.
Has experience applying UX in real-world projects and can demonstrate the impact of their role in team efforts.
