Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Planning Engineer with expertise in HVAC mechanical systems, AC and DC electrical systems, and infrastructure project management. This role requires a combination of technical depth, cross-functional coordination, and scheduling expertise to support complex projects across network facilities, data centers, and colocation environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules for HVAC and electrical systems to ensure on-time delivery.

  • Coordinate across multidisciplinary teams to align project milestones and resource planning.

  • Provide technical leadership on HVAC mechanical and AC/DC electrical systems, ensuring all designs and installations meet regulatory standards and industry best practices.

  • Efficiently allocate human and material resources to meet project timelines and budget constraints.

  • Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure continuity of operations.

  • Collaborate with design teams to review and enhance system designs, ensuring they meet performance and cost-efficiency goals.

  • Monitor project execution, analyze deviations, and implement necessary adjustments to stay on track.

  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders, including contractors, internal teams, and regulatory agencies.

  • Prepare and maintain thorough documentation, reports, and materials for audits, reviews, and compliance checks.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or 6+ years of technical field experience.

  • Strong experience in planning and managing infrastructure projects within HVAC and AC/DC electrical systems.

  • Proficiency with project management tools and scheduling methodologies.

  • Deep understanding of industry codes and standards related to mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

  • Comfortable working remotely and independently in a distributed team environment.

  • Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Visio, and SQL.

  • Professional demeanor with a positive attitude and attention to detail.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience working in telecommunications infrastructure especially in data centers, network facilities, or colocation environments.

  • Background in engineering roles that included budgeting or financial planning responsibilities.

  • Familiarity with Copper & HFC Network Design and EIS: Network Engineering principles.
