Position Overview
Client is seeking an experienced AV Engineer to support mission-critical DoD operations in Alexandria, VA. This is a fully onsite role requiring strong technical expertise, reliability, and a professional demeanor suited to a heavy military/government environment. One position has already been filled by another recruiter; this opening is time-sensitive due to onboarding timelines.
Work Schedule
- 40 hours per week
- Onsite, Monday-Friday
- Typical hours: Between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM (no extended hours beyond this range)
Key Responsibilities
- Support, maintain, and troubleshoot Audio-Visual (AV) systems in secure environments
- Work with Cisco Call Manager for conferencing and communications support
- Manage and coordinate AV schedules using internal scheduler tools
- Provide hands-on technical support for meetings, briefings, and secure communications
- Collaborate with government and DoD personnel in controlled-access environments
- Ensure compliance with security, access, and operational protocols
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance (minimum requirement)
- Bachelor s degree with 5+ years of experience, or 3+ years of experience with relevant education/experience
- Strong experience in AV engineering/support within enterprise or government environments
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Call Manager
- Prior experience working with:
- Department of Defense (DoD), or
- Government access-controlled roles / secure facilities
- Ability to work fully onsite within 30 miles of Alexandria, VA
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Background in military or defense environments strongly preferred
- Professional, dependable personality soft skills and attitude are critical
- Comfortable working in structured, protocol-driven settings
- Able to adapt quickly and support time-sensitive operations
