Role: Hardware Asset Management Analyst
Locations: 100 Corporate Center Dr, Warren, NJ 07059 (Fully Onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Note: Candidate needs to be in the office 5 Days every week. Local candidates only.
Job Description:
- The Hardware Asset Management Analyst is responsible for the strategic management of hardware assets within the organization.
- This includes planning, monitoring, and recording hardware assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts.
- The individual will assist in forming procurement strategies to optimize technology spend across the organization and will also develop and implement procedures for tracking company assets to oversee quality control throughout their lifecycles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the life cycle of hardware assets: Oversee the acquisition, deployment, and disposal processes of hardware assets, components, and peripherals. - Tag & Bag activities.
- Asset Tracking and Inventory Management: Utilize tools to manage all assets within the organization and affiliated companies, ensuring accurate tracking and inventory management.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with vendor contracts and maintain records regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements for the organization's hardware.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Enterprise Architecture and Infrastructure leads for the assignments of IT hardware and related products.
- Training and Documentation: Develop and conduct training for department-level staff to maintain inventory and create detailed documentation of processes and procedures.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors for pricing, procurement, and physical inventories.
- Incident and Problem Management: Act as a point of escalation for any issues that cannot be resolved at the first point of contact and manage incidents related to hardware assets.
- Performance Analytics: Utilize performance analytics dashboards to visualize data over time, analyze business processes, and identify areas of improvement.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience working with IT equipment and IT systems.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with ITSM and ITAM tools like ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy, and SCCM.
- Process Knowledge: Well-acquainted with ITIL and ITAM frameworks.
- Communication Skills: Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication abilities.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and generate reports to support decision-making processes.
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred Skills:
- Software Knowledge: Familiarity with WebSPOC software, POS systems, SQL, MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint).
- Asset Management Tools: Experience with asset management tools like Remedy system, CMDB, and Ivalua.
- Customer Service: Proficient in customer service and inventory control systems.
