Need Windows Technical Advisor

JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Global Operations organization, you will be part of the Technical Advisor team. As a Technical Advisor you will be the point of contact and technical resource for the client. You will have a broad technical knowledge with a specific emphasis on Microsoft Windows running on VMware, and Azure Public Cloud. You will provide leadership and technical governance of aspects of the current and potential future state of services being provided by Ensono. You will be responsible for promoting open communication within the compute team, with other departments, and with the client while demonstrating sound judgment necessary in performing all the duties of a technical advisor. Most importantly live the Ensono values and become a trusted advisor to the client.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical thought leadership and technical governance
- Partner with leadership, client account team, and client to identify and capture operational risks, insights, and improvements.
- Assists in service/process development and execution of improvement plans.
- Partners with solution architects to review and develop client solutions
- Maintain highly effective coordination and communication with the client and internal stake holders as needed.
- Drive process improvements and bring operational efficiencies partnering with automation teams as appropriate
- Participate in knowledge transfer activities for new client on-boarding
- Partner with client application teams on architecture design and review
- Develop expertise in our Ensono Private Cloud Platform (VMware based)
- Mentor and develop global team members in both technology and customer support
- Partner with global team on ITSM functions
- Define process, and act as escalation for Incident and Request management
- Review Complex changes, create standardized change templates
- Conduct proactive and reactive problem management including leadership over root cause analysis and reduction of repeat incidents

TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Expert knowledge in Microsoft Windows Server and surrounding ecosystem technologies.
- Strong knowledge in VMware vSphere, vCloud Director, vCloud Director Availability, NSX, ESX, and other portfolio products.
- Strong knowledge of VMware product use in public cloud. Google GCVE, Amazon, and Azure.
- Strong foundational technical knowledge in multiple areas including basic networking, Windows OS, Linux OS (Redhat or Redhat based),
- Working knowledge of common infrastructure technologies must be able to understand how the areas they are responsible for interact and depend on foundational technologies
- Knowledge of performing and analyzing packet captures (TCPDumps)
- Strong knowledge with scripting tools like Powershell, Perl, Python, etc.
- Knowledge of Cloud platforms such as Azure highly preferred, Google Cloud Platform and AWS are also a plus.
- Knowledge of CI/CD toolsets including Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub, Ansible, Chef, and Salt highly preferred
- Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
- Knowledge of infrastructure, application, and synthetic monitoring products, such as BMC, Datadog, New Relic, and Splunk
- Knowledge of datacenter technology using "on-prem" methods sufficient to coordinate with other teams including facilities, OS, network, hardware, storage, backup, etc required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products for creating presentations, diagrams, and communicating technical details and concepts
- Knowledge of ITIL Framework
- Experience in an environment using Service Now ITSM, and ITOM is a huge plus.
EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS
- 10 years of experience within a highly complex environment making extensive use of web applications, or equivalent demonstrated proficiency
- Experience in client facing and Service Delivery roles
- Experience in a managed services environment a plus
- ITIL certification desirable
- Industry standard technical certifications highly desirable
- College degree or equivalent experience preferred
