Job Details

Objective: Create a data governance framework within the Operational Technology Strategic Services (OTSS) team by contracting a dedicated Data Governance Analyst for a year to two year term. This role will liaise between the Data Services team, OT Grid Data and Analytics (GD&A) team, and Enterprise Data Governance to create data management practices that follow enterprise standards and are tailored to the specific needs of OT.

Key Responsibilities:
Review/Tailor Water Data Governance and Analytics (WDGA)'s Data Governance Plans for OT:
Conduct a review of the existing WDGA data governance plans.
Collaborate and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and best practices.
Customize these plans to address the requirements and challenges faced by the OT team.
Add governance work as part of standard analytics processes in OTSS.
Assist with IEC CIM Governance as Needed:
Work with stakeholders and Utilicast to develop a RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) matrix for IEC CIM (Common Information Model).
Address the differences between CIMM (Common Information Model Manager) and IEC CIM UML (Unified Modeling Language) diagrams.
Coordinate ingestion of the IEC CIM mapping into Collibra
Coordinate SRP CIM mapping efforts with the IEC CIM mapping efforts
Manage updates and ensure consistency in naming conventions.
Help with Enterprise Reference Data Governance as Needed:
Work with various stakeholders in OT to research current naming standards and how they vary across groups
Establish and maintain standardized naming conventions within Power System where possible and create processes to map assets when not possible.
Ensure these conventions are consistently applied across all data assets.
Provide training and support to OT team members on the importance and implementation of naming conventions.
