Job Details

Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, and maintain Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including security policies, NAT, routing, VPNs, and threat prevention modules.
 
Manage and optimize Panorama for centralized firewall management.
 
Monitor and analyze network security events, logs, and alerts using security tools and platforms.
 
Implement and maintain network segmentation, zero-trust models, and secure access solutions.
 
Configure and troubleshoot IPSec/SSL VPNs, GlobalProtect, and remote access security.
 
Conduct security assessments, vulnerability remediation, and compliance checks.
 
Manage and maintain IDS/IPS, URL filtering, DLP, anti-malware, and threat intelligence integrations.
 
Support incident response activities and provide root-cause analysis for security incidents.
 
Collaborate with network, cloud, and IT teams to ensure end-to-end security.
 
Prepare and maintain detailed documentation on network security configurations, diagrams, and processes.
 
Stay updated with emerging cybersecurity threats and Palo Alto product updates.
 
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
 
8+ years of hands-on experience in network security engineering.
 
Strong expertise in:
 
Palo Alto Firewall administration
 
Panorama
 
GlobalProtect
 
Threat Prevention, URL Filtering, WildFire, DNS Security
 
Solid knowledge of:
 
Routing & switching (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP)
 
TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
 
Layer-7 firewalling and advanced security policies
 
Experience with SIEM tools, packet capture tools, and log analysis.
 
Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
 
Understanding of security frameworks: NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, Zero Trust.
 
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
Palo Alto certifications: PCNSA, PCNSE (highly preferred).
 
Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) using Prisma or cloud-native security tools.
 
Knowledge of SD-WAN, SASE, and modern security architectures.
 
Experience with automation using Python, Ansible, or API-based integrations.
