Mechanical Engineer

Piper Health and Sciences is actively seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established pharmaceutical construction and engineering firm in Baltimore MD. This is an onsite position in Baltimore MD with some work from home flexibility and small amount of local travel to client sites.

Responsibilities for Mechanical Engineer:

• Consult on large construction projects including development of mechanical design drawings, drafts, quotes, and specifications
• Draft and design engineering drawings, blueprints, multi-level bills of materials, diagrams and procedures for mechanical equipment and facility
• Interface with clients and vendors on technical issues, testing procedures and troubleshooting
• Draw up project plans, cost estimates, budget projections, timelines, and quotes for build out of new clean room facilities
• Oversee testing and installation of systems, project timelines, safety regulations, and communication with clients on progress

Technical Requirements for Mechanical Engineer:

• Bachelor of Science in Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or similar engineering degree required
• 2 years hands on experience with drafting and designing mechanical plans
• Professional certification as Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
• Experience with design programs including Revit MEP or AutoCAD
• Experience working in a pharmaceutical or clean room environment is a plus

Compensation & Benefits for Mechanical Engineer:

• Compensation: $100,000-150,000, based on level hired at, previous salary history and experience
