UX Designers at TEA are responsible for:
+ OverseeeingUX/UI designs to ensure design decisions are grounded in user experience and adhere to agency-wide design standards and industry-wide best practices
+ Translating research into user stories, requirements, flows, wireframes, and prototypes and collaborating on the future product roadmap
+ Employing user testing and outreach to ensure products meets the needs of the end users, in collaboration with partners
+ Partnering with the product team and other key stakeholders, including senior leadership, on design solutions and rationales; collaborating with internal and external teams of product designers, developers, and product managers
CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 8 years-Required-Experience in software product development, digital design, UX/UI or a related field
- 8 years- Required-Designing mockups and/or wireframes that conform to UX best practices
- 8 years-Required-A portfolio of user research, visual design, and usability studies that demonstrates a high level of professionalism
- 8 years-Required-Experience conducting user and usability research
- 5 years-Required-Demonstrated strong writing and organization skills
- 5 years- Required-Demonstrated strong communication and facilitation skills
- 4 years- Required-Direct experience leading large-scale UX/UI efforts
- 4 years-Required-Documented experience developing wireframes, mockups, and prototypes in Figma or comparable design software
- 3 years Required-Experience ensuring designs and website confirm to federal accessibility guidelines
- 3 years-Preferred-Documented work experience with the issue tracking software "Atlassian Jira"
- 2 years -Preferred-Documented experience working for or closely with TEA or another state or local education agency
