Job Description:
- We are looking for a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior PEP+ ACH Technical Lead / Architect to drive the development, enhancement, and support of our critical ACH processing applications.
- This role demands deep expertise in Fiserv's PEP+ application, robust Mainframe DB2 skills, and a comprehensive understanding of the ACH domain and related payment standards.
- You will be instrumental in architecting solutions, providing technical leadership, and ensuring optimal performance of our core payment systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary technical expert for Fiserv's PEP+ application, providing architectural guidance, solution design, and hands-on development for ACH processing initiatives.
- Design, develop, and implement high-quality, high-performance solutions utilizing Mainframe technologies (COBOL, JCL, CICS), with a strong focus on DB2 and SQL.
- Utilize Unix scripting and other relevant scripting languages to automate processes, facilitate data manipulation, and enhance operational efficiency within the ACH environment.
- Act as a BAI Specialist, ensuring compliance and expertise in Bank Administration Institute (BAI) file formats and other industry-standard payment messaging.
- Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and other development teams to translate complex business requirements into robust technical specifications and solutions.
- Lead efforts in performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting for PEP+ and associated DB2 mainframe applications.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and code reviews to development teams, ensuring best practices and solution quality.
- Contribute to legacy modernization, automation and continuous improvement initiatives for the ACH platform.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Extensive experience in the Payments Industry, with deep expertise in ACH (Automated Clearing House) processing.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with Fiserv's PEP+ application, including development, maintenance, and implementation of new features/versions.
- Strong proficiency in IBM Mainframe technologies, including COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, DB2.
- Expert-level skills in DB2 database design, development, and advanced SQL for performance tuning and data management.
- Proven experience with Unix environments and scripting (e.g., REXX, Python, PowerShell) for automation and system interaction.
- Familiarity with BAI (Bank Administration Institute) file formats and other payment industry messaging standards.
- Demonstrated experience in a Technical Lead, Architect, or Senior Developer role, leading critical application development.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
