Job Details

Our client is hiring an Information Security & Regulatory Compliance Sr. Manager! This is a hands-on individual contributor role that will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, regulatory counterparts, and internal leadership to support U.S. regulatory requirements and strengthen our client's security and compliance posture.

 

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in fintech or a Big 4 consulting/accounting firm, especially those who have worked directly with clients or regulators.

 

Location: Chicago, IL, remote unless needed onsite with client.

Salary: $165,000 – $195,000

Employment Type: Full-Time / Permanent

 

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as a key point of contact with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory representatives.
  • Manage and support compliance initiatives aligned with:
  • ISO 27001, ISO 27701
  • SOC 1 / SOC 2
  • PCI
  • SOX
  • COSO
  • Cloud security frameworks
  • Data protection regulatory requirements
  • Perform hands-on security and compliance work including control testing, evidence gathering, remediation tracking, and audit support.
  • Partner closely with engineering, operations, and legal teams to ensure compliance controls are implemented effectively.
  • Participate in regulatory reviews, audits, and assessments.
  • Support governance, risk, and compliance activities for U.S. operations, with occasional involvement in international sectors (e.g., Canada).
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and documentation.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working directly with regulators, auditors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of major security and compliance frameworks (ISO, SOC, PCI, SOX, COSO).
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies and data protection regulations.
  • Previous experience in fintech or a Big 4 environment working with multiple clients.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a hybrid setting.
