Salesforce Test Engineer -- Remote

Job Title: Salesforce Manual Tester Location: Remote Duration: Fulltime Client: Direct Responsibilities:
- Perform manual testing of software applications to identify defects, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and execute test scripts based on project User Stories and Acceptance Criteria and specifications.
- Identify and document software defects and retest defects once fixed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure effective communication and timely issue resolution.
- Utilize SQL to query databases and validate test cases during testing.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure that software changes and updates do not negatively impact existing functionality.
- Participate in the creation and maintenance of test documentation, including test plans, test scripts, and test reports.
- Ramp up on business application knowledge quickly
- Provide input into the design and improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
- Identify and test edge cases to ensure comprehensive test coverage and uncover potential issues that may not be captured by the acceptance criteria alone.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and developers to gain clarity on User Stories and gather additional information to enhance the testing process.
- Proactively communicate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and gather feedback on test cases, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning and backlog refinement, to contribute to the refinement and improvement of User Stories.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Manual Tester or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
- Experience with manually testing Salesforce Service Cloud and/or Sales Cloud products - Azure DevOps (ADO) used for testing tool
- Proficiency in SQL with the ability to write and execute queries.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new applications and technologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
