Job Description
You will be an Industrial Engineer with Lockheed Martin's Chelmsford Operations facility, a leading hub for innovation in microelectronics that supports critical aerospace and defense programs. Located in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, our team is dedicated to producing advanced technology solutions that safeguard national security and advance the industry.
What You Will Be Doing
As an Industrial Engineer, you will support one or more of the product lines in Chelmsford. Your responsibilities will include:
Assist with the development of production operation time standards, tracking cost and schedule performance at the part level, establishment of efficiency calculations, capacity/manpower assessments, trend analysis, capital equipment justifications, production layouts and process flows, cost and span reduction initiatives, and other process improvement activities.
Work closely with the Product Manager, Product Lead and other Program Support Teams to refine and improve production in an RF and microelectronics environment.

Chelmsford, a charming suburb located about 25 miles northwest of Boston, offers easy access to historic Lowell, Nashua, and the scenic coastal towns of Massachusetts and New Hampshire, just an hour to the east. This picturesque colonial area boasts New England charm, excellent schools, shopping, and dining. With a rich history dating back to the Pilgrims and the Revolutionary War, Chelmsford is ideally positioned for outdoor adventures, including the White Mountains and ski resorts to the north, and Cape Cod, 90 minutes away. Boston is a quick 30-minute drive (traffic permitting), while New York City is about 4.5 hours away. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field and 2 years of related professional experience
Knowledge and understanding of Production / Industrial Engineering concepts
Tools and skills for driving continuous improvement projects
Experience with process simulation modeling
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship
Desired skills
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering
Experience with SAP ERP system
Experience with simulation modeling, specifically Simio
Understanding of Capacity Planning, Man-loading / Balancing, Estimating / Line Flow
Strong communication skills
Manufacturing layout development

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
