Radar Cross Section Engineer - Entry or Associate Level

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is looking for talented RCS Engineers, Entry or Associate Level to join our Phantom Works team in Tukwila, WA or Kent, WA.

In this role individuals will work on advanced technologies in Radar Cross Section (RCS), Radio Frequency (RF) circuits, and Antenna design to develop new and innovative capabilities across multiple platforms. Successful candidates will have experience in RF systems such as signature modeling, link budgets, frequency plans, spur analysis, etc.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Design and analyze novel RF and/or RCS systems to meet operational needs
  • Create and/or modify Computer Aided Designs (CAD) of objects to be used in various computational electromagnetics codes
  • Use computational electromagnetic tools to model radio frequency signatures of various radar targets
  • Model and optimize RCS materials for utilization in components and test vehicles
  • Utilize analytical methods to evaluate performance and support verification of requirements
  • Test/verify performance of systems and test articles in the field and laboratory settings
  • Support Systems Engineering in deriving performance requirements and constraints of the platform and architecture

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Tukwila, WA or Kent, WA

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance post start for which the US Government requires ship.
  • An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret SCI Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
  • Level 1: Experience leading or working similar projects or teams with a Bachelor's OR work-related experience with a Masters
  • Level 2: 2+ years of experience leading or working similar projects or teams with a Bachelor's OR work-related experience with a Masters
  • Experience working with programming languages (e.g., C++, Java, Matlab)
  • Experience in electromagnetics.
  • Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with electromagnetic analysis tools such as X-Patch, SENTRi, FEKO, HFSS, CST or other company specific Computational ElectroMagnetics (CEM) tools
  • Experience in RCS component and/or Antenna theory

Typical Education/Experience:

Level 1: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Level 2: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. Level 1: $70,550 - $95,450

Level 2: $85,850 - $116,150
