Full Stack Developer - Backend / API Development

Piper Companies is looking for a Full Stack Developer - Backend / API Development to join a strategic global organization a fully remote role working EST / CST hours. The ideal Full Stack Developer - Backend / API Development will design and build scalable backend services while contributing to frontend development efforts.

Responsibilities for Full Stack Developer - Backend / API Development:

• Build and maintain robust, scalable RESTful APIs using Python to power core platform features
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate APIs with React-based UIs
• Contribute to automated testing efforts, with a focus on backend/API testing
• Work in a collaborative, agile environment where your input directly impacts product direction

Qualifications for Full Stack Developer - Backend / API Development:

• 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack or Backend Developer with a strong focus on API development
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance
• Hands-on experience with Python frameworks (FastAPI, Prefect, Airflow).
• Experience with Snowflake using Python
• Exposure to frontend development using React
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases
• Familiarity with automated testing tools and practices, especially for APIs
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Compensation/Benefits for the Full Stack Developer - Backend / API Development:

• Salary Range: $125,000 - $145,000 annually (based on experience and location)
