Our challenge

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sr. Salesforce Administrator & Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Salesforce administration and development, with the ability to implement solutions that enhance business processes and drive user adoption. This role will involve collaboration with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and provide ongoing support and maintenance of our Salesforce platform.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York, NY is $120k - $150k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:
  • Salesforce Administration:
    • Manage and maintain user accounts, roles, profiles, and permissions.
    • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
    • Create and manage reports, dashboards, and workflows to provide actionable insights.
    • Train and support end-users to maximize Salesforce capabilities and user adoption.
    • Stay up-to-date with Salesforce releases and best practices to ensure the system is optimized.
  • Salesforce Development:
    • Develop custom applications and features using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components.
    • Implement and customize Salesforce solutions, including but not limited to Salesforce Flow, Process Builder, and API integrations.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
    • Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure quality and performance of developed solutions.
    • Document development processes, code changes, and system configurations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in Salesforce administration and development.
  • Salesforce Administrator and Developer certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I) are preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce best practices, data models, and security architecture.
  • Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, and SOQL/SOSL.
  • Experience with Salesforce integration tools and APIs (REST, SOAP).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
Preferred, but not required:
  • Experience with Salesforce Communities, Service Cloud, or Marketing Cloud.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and deployment tools (e.g., Salesforce CLI, Change Sets).
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments.
