San Jose, CA / Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division

How will you make an impact?

You will join a talented and well tenured team and play a vital role in the design and development of analytical instrumentation within the Life Sciences Mass Spectrometry organization. Our products and instruments are used in the proteomics and metabolomics arena as well as having a real-world impact on human health in areas such as water safety and food safety technology.

What will you do?

  • Work with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists designing PCBs for high precision analog and low frequency RF systems
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and Electronic Manufacturing supplier to bring products to market


How will you get here?

Education

B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering; M.S. degree preferred

Experience

  • 7+ years of product development and commercialization PCB design experience
  • Experience using Allegro and PADS Layout (required), CAM350 or any other CAM tool
  • Experience with creating new component footprints and support the maintenance of parts library
  • Experience with high-speed signal routing using impedance control, length matching, cross talk, etc.
  • Experience with high voltage pcb design highly preferred
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, import mechanical create board outline and location for critical component placement
  • Experience on a product development team from initial investigation and design through to manufacturing introduction


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Knowledge of current IPC standards relevant to PCB design
  • Knowledge of DFx (Design for Excellence) guidelines for PCBAs
  • Knowledge of PCB design practices for EMC
  • Positive learning demeanor and desire to work in a team
  • Excellent organization skill, detail oriented
  • Knowledge of with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools such as OCPLM, Agile, Arena, etc.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $129,400.00-$194,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
