Mid-Level System Administrator (VDI)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Alexandria, VA that is seeking a Mid Level System Administrator (VDI).

Responsibilities:
* Assist with the design, configuration, and deployment of secure Azure VDI solutions within a DoD cloud environment
* Support the development and maintenance of Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) and associated cloud-based infrastructure
* Implement system patches, updates, and upgrades in line with DoD security standards
* Collaborate with senior engineers, cybersecurity professionals, and program stakeholders to ensure successful system integration
* Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot VDI performance and availability across multiple environments
* Document system configurations, procedures, and architecture for continuity and compliance
* Apply best practices in system hardening, access control, and virtualization within cloud platforms
* Participate in testing and validation phases of VDI deployments and support continuous improvement initiatives
* Maintain technical documentation, including installation guides, SOPs, and diagrams

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
* 5 years of general experience in cloud system administration roles or a related field

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
