Job Details
Role: Ai Engineer
Duration: 3 months, possible extensions
On-site/Remote: Need to have availability to travel to Houston when necessary
Interview process: 2 rounds (TW + Client)
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate directly with XOM s Data Science team on GenAI strategy, technical design, and project execution.
Lead early-phase projects focused on Information Retrieval, including:
Document mining using NLP on scanned/image-based documents.
GraphRAG implementations.
Traditional NLP Knowledge Graphs.
Provide thought leadership and technical direction for the GenAI project backlog.
Establish best practices and mentor team members across global locations.
Engage with cross-functional stakeholders across audit, commercial, and global teams.
Ensure delivery excellence and act as a strategic partner focused on outcomes.
Technical Requirements
Strong expertise in GenAI, NLP, and Information Retrieval, including:
Document mining
OCR & image-to-text processing
GraphRAG pipelines
Knowledge Graphs (Neo4j experience preferred, but flexible)
Preferred tech stack:
Azure OpenAI
Azure-managed NLP services (OCR, cognitive search, etc.)
Experience working in environments with mixed deployment models, including:
On-prem solutions (required for audit projects)
Cloud environments (Azure preferred)
Ability to design scalable architectures and guide technical roadmaps.
Capacity to teach, mentor, and elevate other team members technical skills.
Nice to Have
Experience managing complex enterprise AI programs or multi-project backlogs.
Prior exposure to large-scale global projects involving distributed teams
Familiarity mitigating issues with vendor-based delivery models.
A person who has experience leading the integration of many ML models to derive a single solution.
TW team requirements:
Strong English skills
Consulting background
Experienced in working in Agile
Ability to travel (if not in Houston) to Houston
Self-managing can provide status and updates to client and the CLT on own work
Ability to reach out to the Data Service Line to get help when needed
It is also important that they are able to deliver high quality deliverables and to deliver them on time, but also to know when blocked by other items to raise them
