SQL and SSAS Data Engineer

We have immediate opportunity for SQL+SSAS Data Engineer to join our team as Customer Engineers (CE s). This is a salaried role with great benefits and a fantastic team. A CE s time is dedicated to working with some of the largest, and most sophisticated companies in the world, usually F1000. You will be responsible for customer satisfaction, deployment, adoption, and support of SQL/SSAS initiatives. They work with and assist customers in building, operating, and optimizing complex enterprise environments. CE's are trusted advisors, providing guidance, education and adherence for best practices, risk mitigation etc.
CE's are home based and typically deliver services via Microsoft Teams.
Salary Range: $110K - $120K based on experience
Primary work includes:

• Standard Product Work Shops - Training
• In-Depth Product Reviews - White Board (Chalk Talk) Session
• Health Checks / Assessments
• Post Operational Review of Product Implementations
• Product Upgrade / Migration Assessments
• Systems Performance Reviews
• Act as the primary technical contact, providing customer visibility, advanced technical support, and problem resolution for corporate customers, including issues raised to the highest levels of management

The experience you ll need to excel in the role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced SQL Server & SSAS Engineer with expertise in SQL Server, Data Warehousing, Analysis Services. For SQL Server, there should be a strong focus on Performance, High Availability, and Failover Clustering. For SSAS, ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing and optimizing SSAS solutions to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
Qualifications

• Proven experience as an SSAS Development/ administration with a focus on Data Warehousing
• Experience with multidimensional and Tabular cubes
• In-depth knowledge of SQL Server, T-SQL, MDX, and DAX
• Strong understanding of performance tuning methodologies
• Experience in configuring and maintaining SQL Server high availability and failover clustering
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders
• Advanced Microsoft certifications preferred
• Previous Consulting and/or customer facing role

Required Skill Set
SQL Server
Enterprise level support and administration focused specifically with:

• SQL performance and tuning optimization, Clustering, Always On Availability groups, High Availability, Core SQL +Migration, on-premise and cloud
• All versions of SQL Server (2012 and onwards)
• Solving performance problems, query tuning, and optimization
• Architectural experience for Data Platform
• Architecting for High Availability and Disaster recovery solutions using FCI, Always on Availability groups
• Delivering and/or authoring technical training
• SQL Server Integration Services, Reporting Services, Analysis Services
• SQL Server on IaaS experience on Azure/ Other public cloud.
• Azure data factory, Azure SQLDB, Azure SQLDB Managed Instance, Azure Synapse knowledge is a plus

SSAS/ Data warehouse/ Reporting

• Design, develop, and maintain SSAS cubes, dimensions, and data models.
• Multidimensional and tabular cubes
• MDX query writing, SSAS Performance, health checks/ best practices.
• Implement and optimize MDX and DAX queries for efficient data retrieval and analysis.
• Work closely with business analysts to understand reporting requirements and translate them into SSAS solutions.
• Scalability of SSAS and high availability of SSAS.
• Power BI development and administration skills
