Job Description
- We are seeking a Privacy-Focused Data Inventory Analyst to support enterprise-wide data governance and privacy compliance initiatives.
- This role is responsible for performing quality assurance reviews for sensitive data inventories, ensuring accurate classification and documentation of personal and regulated data types such as PII, PHI, and financial information.
- The analyst will apply privacy taxonomies and inventory models to categorize data by type, subject, jurisdiction, retention, and processing purpose.
- Key responsibilities include managing data inventory workflows, application portfolio support, overseeing policy compliance programs, and partnering with cross-functional teams to identify and remediate data privacy risks.
- The analyst will also contribute to training and enablement efforts, develop job aids, and participate in planning sessions to align inventory efforts with evolving privacy regulations and organizational scorecard metrics.
Required Skill Set
- The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data classification, privacy impact assessments, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and validating data sets is essential, along with experience in data governance platforms such as Collibra, OneTrust, BigID, or Informatica.
- Familiarity with metadata management, data mapping, and lineage tracking is important.
- Candidates should also have experience with access control systems and identity governance tools such as SailPoint, Okta, or Azure AD.
- The role requires analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to identifying issues and driving remediation.
- Candidates should demonstrate initiative, accountability, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams to support enterprise privacy goals.
