Job Title: Engagement Manager GenAI Programs

Location: Basking Ridge, NJ


Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Engagement Manager with expertise in Generative AI (GenAI) to lead strategic initiatives at Verizon. The role will focus on managing client engagements, driving GenAI-enabled transformation programs, and ensuring successful delivery of enterprise AI/ML solutions. The ideal candidate will combine strong program management skills with hands-on knowledge of emerging AI technologies to deliver measurable business impact.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary engagement lead for Verizon s GenAI transformation initiatives.

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of GenAI projects including scoping, planning, execution, and delivery.

  • Collaborate with Verizon stakeholders, data scientists, engineers, and product owners to define use cases and success metrics.

  • Translate business requirements into AI/ML solutions, ensuring alignment with Verizon s enterprise goals.

  • Oversee delivery teams to ensure timely, high-quality execution within budget and scope.

  • Drive innovation workshops, proofs of concept, and pilots using GenAI technologies (e.g., LLMs, RAG, chatbots, automation).

  • Provide thought leadership on responsible AI practices, governance, and compliance.

  • Monitor project KPIs and report progress to Verizon leadership, ensuring transparency and measurable outcomes.

  • Manage stakeholder relationships and act as the escalation point for risks and dependencies.

  • Support business development efforts, including proposals, solution roadmaps, and client presentations.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in client-facing program management or engagement management roles.

  • Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, with hands-on exposure to GenAI frameworks (e.g., OpenAI, Google Gemini, Vertex AI, LangChain, RAG pipelines).

  • Proven track record managing enterprise-scale AI/ML or digital transformation projects.

  • Experience with telecom industry is preferred.

  • Strong skills in stakeholder management, communication, and executive reporting.

  • Ability to manage large, distributed teams in a hybrid onshore-offshore delivery model.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with Verizon or large telecom clients.

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure) and their AI/ML services.

  • Exposure to Agile, SAFe, or other scaled delivery frameworks.

  • Ability to identify and drive new GenAI opportunities within client engagements.
